Google Creates $5 Million Fund to Support Ukraine

Google has recently announced it has created the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund, which will support startups in Ukraine.

As noted in the Google blog, funding for the fund is $5,000,000. This money will be used to fund startups in the form of grants throughout 2022. Selected startups will receive up to $100,000 in equity-free funding, as well as Google’s mentorship program, product support, and Google Cloud credits.

This support has been designed to help Ukrainian entrepreneurs sustain and grow their business and strengthen their community and build the foundation for post-war economic recovery.

Among other things, the company invites Ukrainia-based startups to use the Google for Startups Campus in Warsaw as a temporary office. The first few start-ups, run primarily by expatriate women, are already operating on this campus.
