Luxembourg Grants Ripple Final EMI License for European Expansion
Ripple has received a final Electronic Money Institution license from Luxembourg’s financial regulator, the company confirmed Monday. The decision follows a preliminary approval granted earlier this month.
The full license authorizes Ripple to broaden its payments and digital asset offerings across the European Union, providing a significant step in its regional growth strategy.
By securing this license from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), Ripple gains a critical regulated entry point to deliver its blockchain-based payment solutions to the European market.
“Europe has always been a strategic priority for us, and this authorization allows us to scale our mission of providing robust, compliant blockchain infrastructure to clients across the EU,” commented Cassie Craddock, Managing Director, UK & Europe at Ripple. “We are now better positioned than ever to help European businesses transition into a more efficient, digital-first financial era.”
