Anchorage Digital and Ethena Labs Pioneer GENIUS-Compliant Stablecoin in US

Anchorage Digital Bank is set to make history by issuing Ethena Labs’ USDtb—the first stablecoin designed for compliance with the GENIUS Act.

Unlike traditional stablecoins, USDtb is a yield-generating synthetic dollar backed by BlackRock’s BUIDL and crypto collateral. Since its December launch, it has grown to $1.45 billion in TVL.

By leveraging Anchorage’s federally regulated infrastructure, USDtb will now operate onshore with full compliance, offering institutions a programmable, yield-bearing alternative to cash.

The GENIUS Act, enacted last week, is expected to fuel demand for such innovations, bridging DeFi and traditional finance under US regulatory standards.
