Ledger Regains Control of its Discord Server
Late Saturday night, Ledger users noticed a suspicious announcement on the company’s Discord server. Shortly after, Ledger confirmed it had regained control following an account compromise.
The incident was swiftly contained, and the moderator account was deactivated. In response to increased phishing attacks targeting customers, the company is enhancing its security measures.
Earlier in the evening, numerous posts emerged on X about a suspicious announcement on Ledger’s Discord server.
The situation was particularly concerning as the announcement came from a server moderator. It was first flagged by users familiar with Ledger’s products and services who had read the user agreement.
Many users began sharing screenshots and warnings, such as:
“I think Ledger Discord has been hacked and this announcement is fake (link blurred out). Be careful. Never enter your seed phrase anywhere, no matter what anyone tells you.”
