Grayscale Files Application to Issue Digital Large Cap ETF
Grayscale, a leading digital asset manager behind the GBTC ETF, has filed an S-3 form with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to support a Digital Large Cap ETF.
This move could transition Grayscale’s Digital Large Cap Fund (GDLC)—which includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA)—from a private fund to a public investment vehicle.
In October, NYSE Arca submitted a 19b-4 form to the SEC, aiming to list and trade the GDLC fund. Nate Geraci, President of the ETF Store, noted that this filing seeks a rule change under NYSE Arca Rule 8.800-E to enable the listing and trading of multi-asset index funds.
