Valkyrie Files to Launch Ethereum-ETF Futures

Valkyrie Funds has recently filed with the SEC to launch the Valkyrie Ethereum Strategy ETF, which will invest in Ethereum CME futures, as well as high-quality instruments such as US Treasury bonds and commercial paper.

This does not involve direct investing in the second largest cryptocurrency by capitalization.

In early August 2023, the SEC received six applications to launch Ethereum ETFs, such as those submitted by Direxion, Kelly Strategic Management, WisdomTree, Kryptoin, Nasdaq (on behalf of Valkyrie Funds, with Coinbase as the partner in a joint oversight agreement), Invesco, VanEck, 21Shares and Fidelity.

Although all applications had minor details not initially up to par with the SEC’s standards, they submitted updated documents with the necessary changes.
