Coinbase Launches the Beta Version of its NFT Marketplace

Crypto exchange Coinbase has launched a beta version of its own non-fungible token (NFT) platform for a limited number of users.

At the first stage, Ethereum-based tokens are available. Coinbase VP of Product Sanchan Saxena has said the NFT marketplace plans to add support for additional blockchains.

According to him, users will be able to use any wallets, including Coinbase Wallet and MetaMask. The platform will not charge transaction fees for a limited time.

Users will have to pass KYC verification to use the marketplace. At the moment, only Ethereum is available as payment, the company will add ways to make fiat deposits at a later point in the future. Among the latter, the purchase of NFTs using Mastercard bank cards has been announced.
