Metaverse game Cross The Ages (CTA) has just completed an initial round of funding in which it has raised $12 million.

According to the company, it has received investments from blockchain gaming operator Animoca Brands, the Polygon platform, video game developer and publisher Ubisoft, as well as The Sandbox metaverse co-founder Sebastien Borge, among others.

CTA is a metaverse mobile collectible card game set in a dystopian world based on fantasy novels.

The creators of the project pay special attention to the plot. In total, the project team has more than 140 people, about half of whom are artists from around the world.

The release of the beta version of STA is scheduled for the end of May this year. Digital and physical maps will appear in June. Contests for the right to be among the first 20,000 players have started in social networks.
