BitMEX Bans Russian Users in the EU from Accessing its Services

Crypto exchange BitMEX has decided to stop offering its services to Russian users to comply with the sanctions imposed by the European Union.

Over the past few months, many large trading platforms have banned Russian citizens from making transactions with digital currencies.

BitMEX notified on Monday Russian users by e-mail that they will not be able to access its services from July 11.

Users who receive such a message from the exchange will not be able to log into their accounts and make transactions.

However, some Russian users will still be able to use the services of the trading platform. Russians who access the platform from the EU and are residents of the EU or Switzerland will be able to use the company’s services.
