ProShares to Issue Three XRP ETFs
ProShares is preparing to roll out three new XRP-linked exchange-traded funds this week after receiving implicit approval from US regulators.
The SEC’s tacit green light clears the way for the introduction of an Ultra XRP ETF offering 2x leverage, a Short XRP ETF, and an Ultra Short XRP ETF with -2x leverage, according to regulatory filings.
Notably absent from these approvals is progress on the firm’s spot XRP ETF application, even as the SEC reviews several similar proposals, including Grayscale’s high-stakes filing that faces a decisive May 22 deadline.
This regulatory milestone follows last month’s debut of Teucrium’s pioneering 2x XRP ETF, which marked the first XRP-based exchange-traded product to trade in US markets. The Teucrium fund generated over $5 million in trading volume on its first day, setting a company record for most successful ETF launch.
