Bitcoin Dominance Drops Below 50%

Bitcoin dominance fell from 55.4% to below 50% shortly after US President Donald Trump announced that XRP, Solana, and Cardano would be included in the country’s “Crypto Strategic Reserve.”

Later, on Truth Social, Trump confirmed that Bitcoin and Ether would be “central to the reserve,” though the decision to include altcoins was met with disapproval from several Bitcoin enthusiasts and even a Bitcoin critic.

Bitcoin’s dominance decreased to 49.6%, while Cardano and XRP experienced increases of 60.3% and 34.7% respectively over the past 24 hours.

During the same period, Solana and Ether saw gains of 25.5% and 13.1% respectively, while other altcoins not specifically mentioned in Trump’s announcement also rose. Meanwhile, Bitcoin experienced a modest increase of 10%, reaching $94,220.
