UK Sues Justin Sun’s HTX Crypto Exchange Over Illegal UK Ads

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is suing crypto exchange HTX for breaking the country’s financial promotion laws.

The regulator alleges HTX, advised by Chinese entrepreneur Justin Sun, illegally pushed its services on UK consumers without authorization.

In a statement, the FCA said the lawsuit reflects its drive to “protect consumers and uphold the integrity” of UK markets. HTX, a top holder of Trump-themed memecoins, is not permitted to operate in Britain.
