Coinbase App Goes On-Chain: DEX Trading Live for US Users on Base Network

Coinbase users in the US can now trade tokens directly from decentralized exchanges within the main Coinbase app.

The newly live feature, integrated with the Base network and aggregators 1inch and 0x, provides access to new assets like Virtuals AI and Auki Labs immediately after they launch, bypassing the wait for a formal Coinbase listing. The company says this offers “secure, non-custodial token swaps” onchain.

The new DEX feature arrives after Coinbase posted a year-over-year increase in Q2 trading volume, highlighting its push to innovate while maintaining core exchange growth.
