Truth Social Bitcoin ETF Faces SEC Delay, New Deadline Set for September

Investors awaiting the SEC’s decision on the Trump-backed Truth Social Bitcoin ETF will have to wait longer—the regulator has extended its review period to September 18.

The proposed ETF, linked to Trump Media & Technology Group, would trade on NYSE Arca if approved. The SEC also delayed rulings on Grayscale’s Solana Trust and a Litecoin ETF, signaling a cautious approach.

SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce recently noted that regulatory approvals may slow due to legal and operational factors. Still, today’s delays are brief compared to the 11-year wait for the first Bitcoin ETF.
