Trump Pushes for Rapid House Vote on GENIUS Stablecoin Bill Following Senate Passage

The GENIUS Stablecoin Act is one step closer to becoming law—and President Donald Trump wants it finalized ASAP.

Following the Senate’s 68-30 approval of the bill on Tuesday, Trump publicly pressured the House to act swiftly, posting on Truth Social: 

“The Senate just passed an incredible Bill that is going to make America the UNDISPUTED Leader in Digital Assets. Get it to my desk, ASAP — NO DELAYS, NO ADD ONS.”

The legislation, formally known as the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for US Stablecoins Act, aims to strengthen the dollar’s role in global finance while modernizing payment systems.

Senator Bill Hagerty, the bill’s sponsor, highlighted its efficiency benefits, stating it would “enable instant settlements, cutting processing times from days to seconds.”

With Republicans holding a narrow House majority, the bill’s passage is uncertain—but Trump’s push adds urgency to the debate.
