Meta in Talks to Integrate Stablecoin Payments

Meta is reportedly in discussions with crypto firms to explore the use of stablecoins for global payments, according to five sources. These discussions are still in early stages, and Meta has not made any official announcements.

Stablecoins, which are digital tokens typically pegged to the US dollar, offer stability and are useful for quick, low-fee transactions. Meta is considering their use for small payouts, such as compensating content creators globally, as reported by Fortune.

An executive from a crypto firm mentioned that Meta might implement stablecoins on Instagram for small payments, around $100, without incurring high fees. Two other sources confirmed similar discussions with Meta.
