SEC Delays Decisions on Polkadot and Hedera ETFs

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is extending its decision deadline for several proposals to list and trade crypto funds based on Polkadot and Hedera tokens.

The agency is currently reviewing numerous filings to launch crypto exchange-traded funds.

The SEC has postponed its decision until June 11 regarding a proposal from Grayscale to convert its Polkadot Trust and another from Canary to list an HBAR ETF, according to filings released on Thursday. The original deadline was the end of this week. Additionally, the agency is delaying its decision on the Bitwise Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF until June 10.

“The Commission finds it appropriate to designate a longer period to take action on the proposed rule change, as modified by Amendment No. 1, to allow sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change and the issues raised,” the agency stated in the HBAR filing.
