Antonio Juliano Steps Down as CEO of Decentralized Exchange dYdX

Antonio Juliano, the founder of decentralized exchange dYdX, is stepping down as CEO after leading the crypto derivatives platform for seven years.

In a blog post dated May 13, Juliano revealed his transition from daily management roles to serve as chairman and president of dYdX Trading Inc.

“I’m stepping down as CEO of dYdX Trading Inc., transitioning to Chairman & President,” Juliano stated.

Ivo Crnkovic-Rubsamen, formerly the chief strategy officer at dYdX, has taken over as the new head of the company.

Crnkovic-Rubsamen, who joined the decentralized exchange in 2022, has a background as a trader, according to his LinkedIn profile. Juliano reflected on his decision to step down, explaining:

“As I realized I did not need to be CEO, I worked to shepherd other leaders at the company on their own leadership journeys, until one of them was ready to run the company himself,” referring to Crnkovic-Rubsamen.
