Bitcoin Miner GRIID Begins Trading on Nasdaq

Bitcoin mining company GRIID went public on the Nasdaq stock exchange today, using the ticker symbol “GRDI.” CEO Trey Kelly expressed excitement for this milestone, stating that it will increase the company’s visibility, liquidity, and investor base.

The decision to list on the Nasdaq comes after GRIID merged with special purpose acquisition company Adit EdTech Acquisition Corp. on Jan. 2, a process that took over two years.

GRIID had previously been listed on Cboe Canada, and will continue to trade on the Canadian exchange under the same ticker.

The company is headquartered in Cincinnati and has been mining bitcoin since 2019, with a focus on affordable, reliable, and environmentally responsible power. It currently operates four mining facilities in the US, located in New York and Tennessee.

GRIID joins other bitcoin mining companies, including Riot Platforms and Marathon Digital, in being listed on the Nasdaq.
