FTX’s ExCEO Pleads Not Guilty to Bribing Chinese Official
Sam-Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, has pled not guilty to the new criminal charges brought against him by the US government, as reported by Reuters citing its own sources.
These charges include conspiring to violate campaign finance laws, bribery of Chinese authorities, and collusive bank fraud. Bankman-Fried was arrested in December 2022 in the Bahamas at the request of the US government and was charged with eight criminal offenses.
However, he has refused to plead guilty, which was predicted by WSJ sources. Despite these charges, Bankman-Fried reportedly has no plans to make a deal with the investigation.
