Central African Republic Delays National Digital Currency Listing
The Central African Republic has put off the listing of its national digital currency Sango Coin until Q1 2023.
According to the Telegram channel of the project:
“Due to current market conditions, as well as taking into account other marketing reasons (such as the holiday season and the traditional slowdown in any worldwide sales in January and February), we are postponing the listing of SANGO.”
They have added that they could not provide further details until an official statement from the project team. It is not known at what sites the placement was planned.
The CAR President Faustin-Archange Touadéra presented in July the national digital currency. The country planned to use Sango Coin to create a crypto economy based on private investment.
