Binance Wins License in Kazakhstan

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has earlier this month signed a cooperation agreement with the government of Kazakhstan as part of which the company will help the authorities of the country fight the criminal use of digital currencies.

In addition, Binance expressed it wanted to receive a license to legally serve local users.

Yesterday, Binance announced that the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) had issued a license to the exchange, meaning that the platform has received the status of a regulated service for storing digital assets.

The license has been issued within the framework of the Astana International Financial Center, which is a special economic zone in which startups develop digital ecosystems and implement fintech solutions.
