FTX Helps Launch a Crypto Exchange in South Korea

The South Korean city of Busan has just signed an agreement with crypto exchange FTX to develop the blockchain sector and create an infrastructure for trading digital assets.

According to the press release, the collaboration with FTX is part of a broader plan to turn the city into a digital financial hub.

The crypto derivatives exchange will promote and support educational programs in the DLT field together with regional universities and launch projects in the Busan Blockchain Special Zone.

FTX will provide technology and infrastructure support to the city to establish the Busan digital asset exchange.

Amy Wu, head of FTX’s investment division, has said the platform will open its Korean branch in the city within a year.
