North Korean Users Are Faking LinkedIn Resumes to Get Jobs in US Crypto Companies

North Korean bad actors are plagiarizing online resumes from legitimate LinkedIn and Indeed profiles to get jobs in US cryptocurrency companies, Bloomberg has reported.

North Koreans attribute to themselves specialization in the technology industry and experience in software development. They actively communicate on GitHub, learning about the latest trends in the field of cryptocurrencies.

Researchers from Mandiant have reported on questionnaires from North Korea residents in which they published the white paper of the digital currency Bibox or posed as a senior software developer at a consulting company specializing in blockchain tech.

The company experts have identified several suspected North Koreans on job sites who were successfully recruited as freelancers.
