NFT Marketplace OpenSea Reports User Data Leak

NFT marketplace OpenSea has reported a leak of user data. According to the company, it has been the result of the abuse of access to information by an employee of Customer.io, an email delivery service used by OpenSea.

He has reportedly handed over to a third party the email addresses of the NFT marketplace clients. OpenSea has warned of possible consequences in the form of phishing attempts.

The company has noted attackers may try to contact potential victims using an email address similar to the official opensea.io domain.

The platform has reported the incident to the authorities.
