Crypto Exchange Binance is Granted License to Trade Digital Assets in France

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has received a digital asset market service provider license from the French Financial Market Supervisory Authority (AMF) with approval from the Prudential Control and Dispute Resolution Authority (ACPR).

The platform has received approval for the storage and trading of cryptocurrencies.

The exchange CEO Changpeng Zhao announced in September 2021 the rejection of the “decentralized” business model and in November, he announced he planned within 6-12 months to obtain the status of a service provider in the field of digital assets in France and the opening of a regional headquarters.

At the same time, the exchange announced a joint initiative with France FinTech to support local blockchain startups in the amount of €100 million.

Changpeng Zhao has also said Binance is negotiating with regulators in more than 40 countries, including the UK’s FCA.
