The EU Wants to Accelerate the Implementation of a Crypto Regulation
The European Union has been considering options for legalizing the cryptocurrency market over the past few years.
However, it has not yet adopted legislation to regulate the industry, which causes discontent among both business and many politicians. The European Parliament has recently approved the regulatory framework for the digital currency market (MiCA).
A representative of the European Financial Services Commission has said the legalization of the market needs to be accelerated.
Moreover, the politician believes cryptocurrencies need global regulation. That is, states should both individually implement the regulatory framework and interact with each other in the field of combating money laundering through digital assets.
