Stripe’s Tempo Project Opens Testnet to All Users
Tempo, the collaborative blockchain from Stripe and Paradigm, has officially launched its public testnet. This development represents a major progression for the dedicated payments and stablecoin layer-1.
The open-source network is now live, permitting anyone to sync to the chain or operate a node. Project developers stated the focus will now shift to onboarding partners and adding new developer tools.
Six primary features are currently operational on the testnet. These include payments metadata, dedicated payment lanes, and modern methods for wallet signing.
The blockchain’s design specifically targets the needs of financial applications using stablecoins. It aims to deliver reliably low fees and instant settlement, addressing core limitations present in existing general-purpose networks.
