Trump Leaning Toward Pardoning Binance’s CZ, Reports Say
The Trump administration is reportedly “leaning toward a pardon” for Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, according to Fox correspondent Charles Gasparino.
Citing sources, Gasparino stated that Trump insiders view the money laundering case that sent CZ to prison for four months as “pretty weak.” A pardon could set the stage for his return to Binance.
This aligns with the administration’s pro-crypto agenda, which has already seen pardons for BitMEX and Silk Road founders. Zhao responded to the report but did not confirm the details, having previously admitted to applying for a pardon.
