SpaceX’s Bitcoin Holdings Surpass $1 Billion Amid BTC Price Rally

Elon Musk’s aerospace company, SpaceX, now holds over $1 billion in Bitcoin as the cryptocurrency reaches new all-time highs.

Data from Arkham Intelligence reveals that SpaceX currently possesses 8,285 BTC, valued at approximately $1.02 billion. However, this isn’t the first time the company’s Bitcoin stash has exceeded the billion-dollar mark.

Historical records show that SpaceX’s holdings peaked in April 2021, reaching a valuation of $1.8 billion with roughly 28,000 BTC. However, by mid-2022, the company had sold off about 70% of its Bitcoin, reducing its holdings to current levels.

This sell-off coincided with major market disruptions, including the collapse of Terra-Luna in May 2022, the downfall of FTX in November, and the ensuing crypto market downturn. Since then, SpaceX has not acquired additional Bitcoin, according to Arkham’s data.
