JPMorgan Partners with Coinbase to Enable Crypto Purchases for Customers

JPMorgan Chase has teamed up with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase to bring crypto services to its clients, marking another step toward merging traditional finance with digital assets.

Starting this fall, Chase credit cardholders will be able to purchase cryptocurrencies directly on Coinbase. Additionally, in 2026, JPMorgan customers will gain the ability to redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points for USDC, a major stablecoin.

Coinbase highlighted that this will be the first time a leading credit card rewards program allows redemptions in cryptocurrency. “This is a milestone—points from a major rewards program can now be converted into crypto,” Coinbase stated.

The partnership will also introduce direct account linking between Chase cards and Coinbase by 2026, streamlining crypto purchases for users.
