Crypto Regulatory Breakthrough: CLARITY Act Clears Key Hurdle
The US crypto industry is one step closer to regulatory clarity after the CLARITY Act advanced through two congressional committees, setting up a pivotal House vote.
The bill, introduced by Rep. French Hill, passed the House Financial Services Committee (32-19) and Agriculture Committee (47-6)—a positive signal for market participants seeking regulatory certainty.
“This creates a functional framework for everyone in the digital asset space,” Hill said. Crypto Subcommittee Chair Bryan Steil called it a milestone for US leadership in blockchain-based finance.
If enacted, the law could accelerate institutional adoption of crypto and tokenized assets.
