ARK Invest Adds Staked Solana to 2 ETFs
ARK Invest has become the first US-listed fund manager to offer Solana staking exposure via Canadian regulators.
The Cathie Wood-led firm added 500,000 shares of Canada’s 3iQ Solana Staking ETF (SOLQ) to its ARK Next Generation Internet (ARKW) and ARK Fintech Innovation (ARKF) ETFs, in a US$5.2M (AU$8.1M) move reported by Citywire on Monday.
This allocation gives both funds direct access to Solana’s spot price and staking rewards, effectively bypassing US regulatory challenges by using a product on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Launched last week, SOLQ is part of a series of Canadian Solana ETFs by firms like Purpose Investments, Evolve ETFs, and CI Global, all approved by the Ontario Securities Commission. These ETFs offer investors an easy way to access Solana price action and staking rewards through a traditional market framework.
