DEX Aggregator Matcha Blocks Transactions From Russia-based IP Addresses
Matcha, an aggregator of decentralized exchanges, has blocked users with IP addresses from Russia, which means they can no longer make transactions on the platform.
The original message, which read “trading from Russia is not supported,” was later changed to “the region is not supported”. Traders from Belarus and China using the services of local providers also see the same message. However, users may use VPN services to bypass this restriction.
A project representative has said:
“Because Matcha is operated by a US firm, and therefore has to comply with sanctions.”
Decentralized platform PancakeSwap has blocked since March 9 users from ten jurisdictions.
